The Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route is an unspoilt, remote, less-used, and beautiful route leading to the Shira Plateau. Trekkers may use it to ascend via the Western Breach Route or follow the Kibo South Circuit to reach the summit through the easier Barafu Route. The first day of the trek is rich in wildlife, and armed rangers may accompany groups for added safety.
The Kilimanjaro Machame Route is sometimes called the "Whiskey Route" because it is considered more difficult than the Marangu Route. It passes through the cloud forest, Shira Plateau, and Lava Tower while providing beautiful scenery and different habitats.

The Rongai Route is one of the quieter and easier routes to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, offering beautiful scenery and excellent summit success rates. The trek begins from the northern side of the mountain through forests and open moorland, passing First Cave, Kikelwa Cave, Mawenzi Tarn, and Kibo Camp. Climbers make their summit attempt at midnight, reaching Gillman's Point before continuing to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa. The descent is via Horombo Hut and Marangu Gate.
